The girls spent the night again last night. Good times-park, painting, singing, dancing, bath time...
I dropped them back off at their grandparents this morning, and then I was off to work. As I was heading out the door, I asked the girls for hugs and kisses. One was willing, but the other said, "I'm too busy."
Oh, sure, I understand. Maybe you could check your daytimer and get back to me some time next week. You're THREE!
They make me laugh.

Sometimes those little things can break your heart but it doesn't mean that much. Once, when I was helping put Matthias to bed he yelled, "GET OUT!" at me. Honestly, I must say, it hurt my feelings. But, rationally I know he didn't mean that. What he meant was, "I'm really tired right now and I need snuggles from my mommy." Love you!
I'm sorry...=) I guess that might be what having a teenager is like?? You should hear some of the stuff Hope has tried to get away with!
kids. gotta love 'em--on their terms of course :)
that reminds me of something anna would say (or probably has said, multiple times!) kids crack me up. they love to exercise their "no" and in some ways it's exciting seeing them building confidence and gaining independence.
