If you find yourself at the beach unexpectedly on a warm evening like tonight

and the kids think the water looks inviting, but you didn't bring their swimsuits, you might let them put their toes in the cool water.

But they might be having so much fun, and running so fast that they don't realize they are getting wet from head to toe.

Once their clothes are soaked, you might decide they could just splash around in their undies. Because they're only four. And because they can just wear their softly-lined windbreaker to the car.

But then one child might not like the feel of her sandy, wet body next to clothes, and so she'll refuse to wear anything. Anything at all.

So you have to decide what to do, because it's about 1/2 mile to the car, which is parked on the other side of a neighborhood and a busy street with throngs of people walking their dogs, shopping, and eating in restaurants.

Sometimes, parenting is just survival.

Love it! So what did you do?

No undies, just a windbreaker, traded off with my sister carrying her with our arms strategically placed...

Welcome to the jungle. I don't blame her...wet sand in your undies is nasty.

No clothes at all? Yikes! Maybe she can find a nudist colony to welcome her.

It's a small afterall... :) you're Lisa's sister. ;) And I found you a different way this time. Love your new blog idea, and just told you. We all can use new family ideas. Lisa was gracious enough to grant me a giveaway for my
WinItWednesday this week and I'm also spreading the word. ;)

HA!!!!!!!!!! OH I loved this post! And yeah, sometimes it really is all about survival, like Anna peeing in a (crowded) parking lot today. :)
