Who Needs Clothes Anyway?

We haven't gone anywhere today.

Not the hardware store, or the grocery store, or the library like I planned. Not our friend's house for lunch either.

We haven't left the house because Little Sweetie doesn't want to wear clothes. She got dressed, but she didn't stay dressed because she didn't like the way her clothes felt.

We go through this every morning, but this morning was particularly intense. Lots of crying and writhing in pain. She didn't like the way the seams felt in her underarms or the buttons on the back of her neck. She just wanted to wear her undies.

So we stayed home. We played hide and seek, made homemade strawberry ice cream, and I cleaned, all while being undressed. Well, two of us were dressed, the other not.

It was good to stay home. I think we all needed a day to just be home and be mellow and hang out in our undies.

LOVE IT! I agree that we all need one day a week at home. I try to have those days...I do keep my clothes on...but it is usually my jammies...I don't shower until hubby is on his way home! Those days are the best...no running, or getting ready to go any where, just the kids and I...playing and cleaning! The day after seems less stressful too...because the house is all clean! :)Love you Chrissie! You are such a great mom! So much wiser than I was when Chloe was 4...I would have been so mad...I would have made her keep her clothes on! You are so smart! Love you!

I love those days. As long as you don't need to be anywhere important you can embrace it and let them have their individuality.

I'm glad you clarified that only one was undressed. I thought that would be slightly odd for EVERYONE to be undressed all day long! I love days like that where there is no where to be and nothing to do.
