I have been riding alligators a lot lately, in the eight-story hospital where my grandma is right now. Up and down, over and over.
The girls like to lay down on their backs when they ride an alligator. But I prefer to take a deep breath and just get it over with. They make me dizzy.
It's been a few days since I've been home. But sometimes the demands of life take precedence over time at home with my sweet husband and girlies. My lovely grandmother is declining rapidly, has just a little more time left. I need to be with her and my parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins.... I need to tell her one more time how much I love her and to say goodbye.
I'd much prefer to be in my small, comfy, quiet home with my three favorite people.... But right now, as hard as it is, this is where I'm supposed to be.
It's good to be here.

I will be praying for you and your sweet family during this hard time...
and of course all of your alligator rides
Thanks for being with grandma. She is amazing and her family gathered around her is just one demonstration of how she has influenced her family. I love you!
So sorry to hear such sad news, my prayers go out to you and your family. Have a grandma who is 103 and is starting to go through many ups and downs... so hard to watch :(
So sorry to hear about your grandma, Chrissie. I'm sure that you are glad you can be there for her. And, I'm with you . . . riding in alligators makes me dizzy too!
Chrissie, you and your family are in my prayers, too. What a blessing to be able to be there with her, for her. She's blessed by having you there, too.
I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. I can relate. I'll say a prayer for you and your family.

Oh Chrissie! I'm praying for you all during this time! Let me know if I can take the girlies for you some time so you can be with your grandma. Kaylee is really missing them too so it would be fun!
I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother......I will pray for her and your family. Please know you are in my thoughts.
To leave you with a smile, my daughter Madeline has no problem telling complete strangers on an "alligator" that it "tickles her booty." :) It embarrasses my husband, but makes me smile.

oh chrissie! i am soo sorrry to hear about your grandma! My maternal grandma went to be with the Lord 6 months after Jordyn was born... I was so happy she got to hold her and love her and pray for her! What a blessing Godly Grandmothers are! Your family is in my prayers! love you friend!!
We went through this with my sweet grandmother one year ago. It's hard on the heart. Being so close to my mom, it was also hard to watch her ache as she physically cared for her mom in those last days (months) and loved her. Grandma's have such a unique role for their grandchildren and are so special! May God bless your time with her Chrissie, with great meaning, warmth and richness to treasure.
praying for your family.
i am greatful for the scripture that says "because Your love is better than life." psalm 63:3
i celebrate with you that your grandma is living in God's tangible love. Oh the thought of it!
and...my kids totally called the elevators "alligators" i miss that.
they still wear "zucchinis" (bikinis).
they know this isn't the correct name, but they love me :-)
